About Restorative Practices

Conflict is natural. Healing is intentional.

To be human means, at some point, to be in conflict. A conflict is telling us that something isn’t working. Good to know. Now what?

Restorative practices create opportunities for dialogue, accountability, and true transformation. This is possible through the core values of restorative practices: the building of relationships where reflection, responsibility and repair are at the center. Restorative practices create cultures where equity in voice is foundational resulting in community members feeling more valued, working more effectively, learning more thoroughly, and creating more freely. Whether in schools, workplaces, or communities, these practices foster a culture of healing and connection.

Founder, Director & Lead Consultant

Our Founder

I specialize in guiding communities, organizations, and individuals through restorative practices — helping to deepen understanding, to foster accountability, to re-build relationships, and create collective healing. I have worked with families, schools, religious organizations, camps, nonprofits, and businesses. I engage with folks both online and in person.

As a former teacher, administrator, writer, entrepreneur, and board member — and like most careers — conflict was a natural part of working together with other folks. These experiences led me to pursue a Master of Science in Conflict Analysis and Management and an emphasis in Inclusive Conflict Engagement where my work is grounded in research and practice.
